Arta e acolo unde sunt artişti, oameni care ştiu să vadă în prezent şi în viitor opor­tunităţi de a-şi exprima liber sentimentele, trăirile, modul lor de a vedea lumea înconjurătoare. Şi totul prin imagine, prin grafică şi desen. Imagini realizate nu cu pensula şi şevaletul în mână, ci prin metode moderne, în faţa calculatorului, cu mouse-ul şi tastatura plus un program grafic adecvat. Exact asta au făcut cei 91 de artişti din 34 de ţări reuniţi la 115- Galeria de Artă Digitală, la expoziţia intitulată Art: PartTwo. Dintre aceştia zece artişti sunt din România.

Doamnelor şi domnilor, am intrat într-o nouă eră! Era artei digi­tale. Prima expoziţie de artă digitală deschisă vreodată în România sau în Europa de Est vă aşteaptă să-i treceţi pragul în str. Mihai Eminescu nr. 115. Vernisajul expoziţiei a avut loc luna trecută, cei peste 100 mp ai încăperilor care au găzduit expoziţia au părut neîncăpători pen­tru numărul mare de vi­zitatori prezenţi la mani­festare. A fost o muncă serioasă, pregătită timp de cinci- şase luni de zile. Scopul nostru a fost să descoperim talente din toată lumea şi să găsim clasicii de mâine astăzi. Colecţia Art: PartTwo nu are o temă prestabilită şi nici altă limitare decât calitatea lucrărilor alese.

După prospectări extinse şi o selecţie atentă suntem mândri să expunem lucrări create de 91 de artişti din 34 de ţări. Este o colecţie de lucrări con­cepute folosind diferite tehnici digitale, care acoperă o mare varietate de stiluri de creaţie. Credem că adună unele dintre cele mai diverse şi mai bune lucrări din întreaga lume şi sperăm să vă transforme în fani ai artei digitale. Nu a fost făcută o selecţie în funcţie de o temă anume. Noi am vrut să fie o colecţie de introducere în arta digitală şi de iniţiere în ceea ce înseamnă artă digi­tală şi posibilităţile acestei arte. Mai exact, este vorba despre o artă care trece prin calculator sau prin tehnici computeri­zate, asta nelimitând artistul exclusiv la cal­culator. Sunt foarte multe tehnici care implică scanarea unui desen deja făcut sau a unei picturi clasice din arta tradiţională, dar care, în final, pentru a ajunge la final, trece şi prin computer”, a spus Silvana Bratu, unul dintre curatorii expoziţiei.

După şase luni de zile, cei de la 115 – Galeria de Artă Digitală intenţionează să realizeze şi alte proiecte de promovare a artiştilor digitali. Dintre cei zece artişti români care participă cu lucrări la Art: PartTwo, Matei Apostolescu se numără prin­tre iniţiatorii expoziţiei. Cunoscut peste hotare, aproape necunoscut în România – una dintre lucrările sale a dat coperta revistei Computer Arts în numărul despre cei mai buni zece artişti digitali din lume şi lucrează pentru clienţi foarte mari din toată lumea – Matei Apostolescu îşi motivează prezenţa sa în galerie: „Ne-am gândit să adunăm foarte mulţi artişti de pe internet, să expunem lucrările lor şi să arătăm românilor ce se întâmplă cu arta vizuală în plan internaţional. Este prima mea expoziţie la care particip şi probabil a foarte multora dintre participanţi. Mai puţin cei din afara ţării.

Expoziţia este urmărită prin web- camera de circa 300-400 de artişti străini care au expus.” Dacă vă întrebaţi cât poate să dureze în timp o imagine printată şi vă faceţi griji în privinţa durabilităţii lucrărilor de acest gen, Dorin Stanca, un alt pilon al proiectului Art: PartTwo ne-a declarat: „Ne-au ajutat foarte mult HP cu imprimarea lucrărilor. Este o tehnică foarte performantă de imprimare care garantează 200 de ani de viaţă a printurilor. Lucru, care, din punc­tul meu de vedere, a fost cel mai important factor în luarea deciziei de a deschide o asemenea expoziţie. Până acum un an lucrările durau patru-cinci ani, maximum 15 ani, acum deja avem lucrări care pot să rămână la aceleaşi culori şi standarde sute de ani.”
