Bătrâneţe de lux

Un salon somptuos, foarte bine luminat, cu un şemineu uriaş, câteva canapele şi fotolii spaţioase, candelabre moderne şi o plasmă TV de dimensiuni apreciabile. Am nimerit cumva în vila unui demnitar sau a vreunui VIP?

Undeva în apropiere de pădurea Băneasa, într-o curte discretă, o vilă cu arhitectură şic. Sunăm la uşa masivă din lemn. Ne deschide un îngrijitor şi ne invită în living. Pe canapele se odihnesc, discută în şoaptă ori se uită la televizor câteva femei şi câţiva bărbaţi de vârsta a treia. Ne aflăm în Căminul de bătrâni EDEN, cel mai luxos cămin destinat îngrijirii persoanelor în vârstă din Capitală.

În timp ce sistemul sanitar şi de îngrijire din România agonizează, Simona Muscă – regizor şi Liliana Folea – economistă s-au gândit să creeze un loc special pentru vârstnici, unde aceştia să se simtă ca în paradis. Au strâns fonduri, au demarat construcţia, au pus la punct toate utilităţile, au angajat personal şi au deschis locul de vis pentru bătrâneţile multora dintre noi. I-au dat locului un nume sugestiv: Eden. Un nume care i se potriveşte perfect. Ne-am convins de aceasta imediat ce i-am trecut pragul.

Vila imensă are dormitoare de câte unul, două, trei, patru şi cinci locuri, dotate cu mobilier nou, dressing-uri spaţioase, televizor LCD, sistem de încălzire/răcire cu reglarea temperaturii în funcţie de necesităţi. Fiecare cameră are terasă proprie. Vila are bucătărie proprie utilată modern, respectă standardele igienico-sanitare, loc de servit masa, tip restaurant, dotat cu mobilier şi veselă de cea mai bună calitate, astfel încât te simţi ca în propria casă şi nu ai sentimentul că te afli într-un cămin de bătrâni. Mai mult, la parter se află un living generos având deschidere către spaţiul verde din curtea interioară care măsoară aproximativ 1.600 mp, amenajată peisagistic cu terasă, foișor, piscină, jacuzzi, şezlonguri, mese, scaune şi pavilion.

În plus, un cabinet medical dotat ultramodern stă deschis la dispoziţia pacienţilor. „Costul întreţinerii rezidenţilor căminului nostru se stabileşte în funcţie de starea de sănătate a fiecăreia dintre persoanele care vin aici. Nu aş dori să dau o cifră fiindcă nu ar fi suma exactă. Pentru un abonament lunar convenabil pentru aproape oricare dintre seniori, aceştia au parte de cazare, masă, servicii medicale, programe ocupaţionale, gimnastică recuperatorie şi kinetoterapie, activităţi de recreere şi divertisment, dar nu în ultimul rând, de multă afecţiune, grijă şi înţelegere. Cred că de la empatia pentru bătrâni a pornit întregul proiect. Ne-am gândit: hai să facem ceva pentru vârstnici“, ne-a explicat Liliana Folea, unul dintre iniţiatorii proiectului.

Pentru a vedea care este impresia locatarilor, i-am abordat pe câţiva dintre ei. Fiecare are povestea sa legată de venirea în căminul din Băneasa. Doamna Georgeta are 76 de ani şi a fost şef birou la Uniunea Naţională a Cooperaţiilor: „Am fost internată în altă clinică înainte, dar acolo nu era aşa de bine precum aici. Copiii au aflat de pe internet şi au decis să mă mute în acest cămin. Toată lumea e prietenoasă, de ziua mea de naştere doamnele au organizat o petrecere în cinstea mea. Stăm patru în cameră, dar totul este în regulă.“

Dna Maria Luiza a lucrat în învăţământ, dar este imobilizată în scaunul cu rotile încă din tinereţe. A venit în cămin în luna septembrie.Vorbeşte greu, dar coerent: „Îmi place foarte mult aici, m-am acomodat. M-au adus copiii, am doi băieţi şi o fată. Săptămâna trecută m-a vizitat mama, care are 101 ani“, spune dna Monica. Într-o altă cameră stă întins pe pat dl Mihalache, 68 de ani, fost şofer de tir, care a suferit un accident cerebral în această vară: „Am două luni de când am căzut în casă. Cei trei copii ai mei sunt toţi în străinătate, când m-am îmbolnăvit au venit şi au stat cu mine în spital, dar nu puteau să rămână alături de mine, că au serviciu. M-au adus aici. Am venit anchilozat, cu paralizie pe dreapta. Doamnele kinetoterapeut au lucrat cu mine zilnic şi uite, acum îmi pot mişca mâna dreaptă. Sper să mă recuperez.“ O altă cameră, o nouă poveste. Dna Ecaterina, 89 de ani, a venit în cămin cu o fractură de şold, acum face recuperare. “Abia sunt la început, merg cu cadrul. Dar e extraordinar aici, personalul e serviabil şi politicos, nu te repede, nu îţi adresează vreo vorbă rea. are, lenjerie modernă, nu am ce reproşa”, spune dna Ecaterina.

Căminul este ocupat mai bine de jumătate şi săptămânal se adaugă noi locatari. Pacienţii trebuie să vină cu un set complet de analize pentru a se stabili de ce îngrijiri are nevoie fiecare, ce tratament şi ce regim alimentar îi sunt necesare. Sunt primite persoanele din orice mediu ar proveni, dar contra cost, iar pe lângă activităţile zilnice, bunicilor li se celebrează zilele de naştere, li se organizează excursii pentru cei care sunt deplasabili. Aici se acordă, pe lângă asistenţă psihologică, îngrijire spirituală din partea unui preot care vine periodic şi a unor măicuţe de la o mânăstire, chemate în acelaşi scop spiritual.

Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
