Crăciun cu generali

Ca militar aflat în misiune într-un teatru de operaţiuni, oricum e greu să fii departe de casă, tocmai de Crăciun. Dacă-ţi pică pe cap o delegaţie purtătoare de sarmale, cârnaţi şi şorici, condusă de un general şi câţiva colonei flămânzi, poate fi şi mai greu, sau dimpotrivă, haios. Depinde de general.

De când armata română a început să trimită contingente mai mari sau mai mici în misiuni internaţionale în diverse teatre de operaţiuni (Bosnia, Kosovo, Afganistan, Irak), pentru mulţi ofiţeri si generali români necunoscători de limbi străine, prea în vârstă, prea grasi si prea mioritici a apărut oportunitatea unui atractiv turism militar: locuri exotice de vizitat în condiţii de protecţie si confort maxime, diurne în valută fără cheltuieli de casă, masă si transport, ceremonii mângâietoare de orgoliu asigurate, cu mese festive, ambient si mici „protocoale” servil-priete- noase all inclusive. Pretextul acestor deplasări turistice „la ordin” a fost si este, pentru cei cu grade si funcţii mai mici, însoţirea contingentelor la schimbarea acestora în teatrul de operaţiuni, iar pentru cei cu grade mai mari, însoţirea bucatelor tradiţionale românesti de Paste sau Crăciun pentru „băieţii nostri din teatre”. Din punctul de vedere al gazdelor, adică al militarilor aflaţi deja de câteva luni în misiune într-un loc deloc prietenos, evenimentul este perceput diferit, în funcţie de poziţia ierarhică: băieţii de la trupă se bucură în voie de o masă diferită de meniul obişnuit, aseptic si plin de E-uri, iar ofiţerii, mai ales cei din conducerea contingentului, se dau de ceasul morţii si le stă sar- maua-n gât „să iasă vizita bine”, „să nu zică ceva dom’ general” si să nu-i deranjeze prea tare pe sefii săi străini din comandament, care oricum trebuie să suporte politicos avatarurile vizitei.

În ceea ce-l priveşte pe general, acesta are grijă de fiecare dată să se „programeze” să fie cât mai „de gască” cu băieţii, să vorbească cât mai deschis, mai condescendent si aparent să se arate interesat de problemele acestora. Pentru doar două-trei zile, chiar si generalii români au arătat în astfel de ocazii că îsi pot ţine sub un control rezonabil aroganţa, autosuficienţa, atotcu- noasterea si toanele. Cei care au avut naivitatea să creadă în această „poză”, atunci când s-au înghesuit să se fotografieze sau să ciocnească un pahar cu dom’ general de la Bucu- resti, au avut parte de un friso- nant dus rece atunci când l-au reîntâlnit pe respectivul, în mediul său natural de acasă; miraculos cum aerul occidental, atitudinea detasat-colegia- lă, cuvintele sugubeţe si tonul jovial abordate ostentativ în mediul internaţional dispar complet pe pământul româ-

În decembrie 2002, armata română avea în cadrul KFOR un contingent important, format dintr-o companie de infanterie încadrată într-un batalion belgian din nordul Kosovo lângă Leposavic, o alta în vestul provinciei la Klina, sub comandă italiană, un pluton în sud, la Blace, în subzistenţa mult mai subţire a grecilor, precum si o grupă de subofiţeri si ofiţeri de stat major în comandamentul principal din Pris- tina. În consecinţă, delegaţia de la Bucuresti a fost la fel de consistentă: convoiul cuprindea o autospecială frigorifică plină cu d’ale porcului pentru cei peste 300 de militari, un autocar cu interpreţi din Ansamblul Doina al Armatei pregătiţi a susţine atât un repertoriu de cântece moldovenesti, cât si ardele- nesti, corespunzător provenienţei celor două companii (de la Dej si din Focsani) si, în fine, un microbuz doldora de colonei solizi, având în frunte un general cu stele multe, funcţie mare si viitor politic, aflat în mare formă si bună dispoziţie.

Nu a lipsit nici un mic grup de jurnalişti (Alina Grigore de la Evenimentul zilei, Răzvan Bel- ciuganu de la Jurnalul Naţional şi colonelul Benone Neagoe împreună cu plutonierul Ion Chiţa de la TV ProPatria) pentru o mediatizare corespunzătoare (adică pozitiv-festivă) a evenimentului doveditor a grijii conducerii M.Ap.N. faţă de militarii aflaţi la datorie, precum şi doi preoţi militari pentru asigurarea componentei spirituale. Ne des păr ţin du-se de aerul său de seniorială superioritate şi bunăvoinţă, marele general a fost OK, s-a salvat prin zâmbete largi şi cu translatori de necunoaşterea vreunei limbi străine la întâlnirile oficiale, a grăit soldaţilor puţin, dar „cu suflet”, a revărsat torente de bancuri cumsecade şi nu a făcut prea multe mofturi în faţa uriaşelor eforturi ale celor câţiva ofiţeri români din comandamentul KFOR de a asigura cazarea, masa, transportul, protecţia, primirile oficiale şi aproape orice altceva ar fi dorit „onorata delegaţie”. Cei mai fericiţi au fost sergenţii moldoveni şi cei ardeleni din trupa celor două companii la spectacolele de muzică populară şi uşoară ale celor de la ansamblul Doina, unde au chiuit în voie, iar apoi au băut ţuică şi vin şi au mâncat sarmale pe săturate, ca acasă. Acolo, chiar şi cei ce nu savurează de obicei acasă astfel de spectacole populare, se bucură de ele şi se lasă antrenaţi de emoţie pur şi simplu pentru că era Crăciunul şi era pe româneşte. Puţini din delegaţia oficială au ştiut atunci că în seara de Ajun, în timpul spectacolului de la Klina, la mânăstirea de maici de la Budisavic din apropiere, aflată sub protecţia permanentă a trupelor KFOR de atacurile extremiştilor albanezi şi în care mai supravieţuiau doar trei măicuţe bătrâne, uneia i se făcuse rău de atâta post şi rugăciune. Medicul companiei, căpitanul Mircea Vasilescu, s-a deplasat imediat însoţit de o escortă, le-a consultat pe toate trei şi le-a dat câteva întăritoare, iar ele au mulţumit dând fiecăruia câte o cruciuliţă mică de lemn.

În comparaţie cu doi ani în urmă, în decembrie 2004 contingentul militar românesc din KFOR era la jumătate; în consecinţă şi delegaţia însoţitoare de frigorifică cu „produse specifice Crăciunului” a fost mai redusă, din păcate nu doar la număr. Un specimen uman provenind din acele cotloane umbrite existente în orice armată, proaspăt avansat general de brigadă, dar păstrându-şi apucăturile de căprar, a reuşit să întindă la maximum nervii şi puterea de stăpânire a tuturor militarilor români care l-au întâmpinat şi însoţit timp de două zile. Acest demn rival al lui Moş Teacă n-a putut să îngaime nici două vorbe de convenienţă, măcar pe româneşte, la întâlnirea pe care tot el o solicitase generalului american, şef al statului major al KFOR, s-a îmbătat şi a umplut singur, fără jenă, o scrumieră între ofiţerii italieni vizibil, stânjeniţi la masa de ajun de Crăciun de la Pec. Imperturbabil în neam-prostia sa, acest general a repetat figura şi în ziua de Crăciun, când, spre stupoarea tuturor, la petrecerea militarilor români din comandamentul KFOR din Priştina unde s-a autoinvitat, a mormăit înciudat vorbe nepublicabile pentru că nu prea îl băga nimeni în seamă. A doua zi şi-a luat rămas bun ca şi cum nimic nu s-ar fi întâmplat şi a plecat senin, cu sentimentul datoriei împlinite, făcându-i pe mulţi să răsufle uşuraţi că scăpaseră doar cu un Crăciun ratat.
