Cupa Chivas la golf de la Pianu de Jos

Linişte, aer curat, sport, socializare, băuturi dintre cele mai alese. De asta au avut parte participanţii la prima ediţie a Cupei Chivas la golf organizată alături de J.W. Marriott, Rocchetta şi Wilson. Ce putea fi mai frumos decât două zile de relaxare şi bună-dispoziţie combinate cu spirit de competiţie şi dorinţa de a învinge? Nu a lipsit whisky-ul Chivas Regal care a dat concurenţilor voinţă să joace cât mai bine pentru a câştiga cele 19 premii puse la bătaie. La finalul celor două zile de şedere la Pianu de Jos toată lumea a fost încântată, iar organizatorii au promis că vor răsplăti entuziasmul sportivilor organizând şi la anul acest eveniment.

Din pasiune pentru lucrurile nobile, Clubul de Golf Paul Tomiţă a fost gazda acestui eveniment la care au participat cei mai buni jucători din golful românesc. Competiţia, care s-a desfăşurat în perioada 16-18 octombrie 2009 sub egida Federaţiei Române de Golf, s-a adresat atât domnilor, cât şi doamnelor şi a reuşit să strângă în localitatea Pianu de Jos, judeţul Alba, cei mai buni practicanţi ai acestui frumos şi elegant sport. Aşadar, toată lumea a fost gata de start, cu crosa în mână, pe 16 octombrie, când a avut loc deschiderea oficială. Startul oficial a fost dat sâmbătă dimineaţa, după ce echipa tehnică a stabilit grupele de intrare în competiţie atât pentru domni, cât şi pentru doamne. Pe întreg parcursul traseului de 18 cupe, concurenţii au încercat să se apropie cât mai mult de green, să reuşească The longest drive şi, bineînţeles, să termine cu un punctaj cât mai bun, pentru a câştiga cele 19 premii oferite de organizatori.

Whiskyul Chivas Regal a avut grijă ca toţi cei intraţi în competiţie să aibă poftă de joc şi bună-dispoziţie. Aşa că i-a aşteptat pe concurenţi la pit stop-urile organizate la cupa 10 şi 18. Primii câştigători au fost anunţaţi sâmbătă seara, în cadrul unei cine festive. Este vorba de cei care au plecat acasă cu trofeele speciale puse în joc în prima zi a competiţiei: Chivas Regal 12YO, Chivas Regal 18YO, Chivas Regal 25YO, Royal Salute, Chivas Alexander McQueen şi 100 Cask. Şi pentru ca nimic să nu lipsească acestei seri, a fost organizată o degustare de whisky Chivas Regal 12 YO, Chivas Regal 18 YO şi Chivas Regal 25 YO. În cea de-a doua zi a competiţiei, flighturile s-au reorganizat în funcţie de rezultatele primei zile.

Amatorii de golf prezenţi la Clubul de Golf Paul Tomiţă spre a urmări competiţia nu au fost lăsaţi pe margine. Wilson a amenajat o zonă specială de joc în care au putut exersa şi primi sfaturi avizate. Întregul weekend, participanţii au fost susţinuţi cu Chivas Regal on the rocks, cocktail-uri pe bază de Chivas Regal şi cu un delicios punch pe baza aceleiaşi băuturi scoţiene. Una dintre surprizele organizatorilor a fost aducerea în prim-plan a ediţiei speciale Chivas Regal 18YO designed by Alexander McQueen.

Chivas Regal s-a implicat încă din 2002 în activităţi de tip Office Putting şi Golf, în România, reuşind să deschidă gustul pentru golf unei categorii cât mai largi de oameni. Şi, cu siguranţă, acest lucru va continua, mai ales dacă avem în vedere declaraţia Irinei Florea, Brand Manager Pernod-Ricard: „A fost o deosebită onoare pentru noi să avem alături profesioniştii golfului din întreaga ţară şi adresăm mulţumiri speciale Golf Club Paul Tomiţă, sponsorilor şi partenerilor. Cu siguranţă vor urma multe alte ediţii ale Cupei, această primă ediţie fiind primită cu foarte mult entuziasm“.

Câştigătorii primei ediţii a Cupei Chivas

* Categoria I: Alexandru Bărbat – locul 1, Laurenţiu Coman – locul 2 şi Călin Colnic – locul 3.

* Categoria II: Dan Jacotă – locul 1, Florin Vinersar – locul 2 şi Sorin Săftescu – locul 3.

* Categoria Ladies, pe locul 1 s-a clasat Oana Munteanu, urmată de Mihaela Pal pe locul 2 şi de Anca Codrin pe locul 3.

* Stroke Play Brut a fost câştigat de Viorel Coman.

* Chivas a acordat şi trei premii speciale, astfel s-a înmânat premiul Longest Drive – Men lui Dan Jacotă, Longest Drive – Lady Oanei Munteanu, iar premiul Nearest To The Pin a fost câştigat de Ana Coman.

Clubul de golf Paul Tomiţă de la Pianu de Jos

Existenţa şi viaţa clubului de golf de la Pianu de Jos este strâns legată de Paul Tomiţă, cel care a dat lecţii unor personalităţi precum Regele Mihai, dar şi membrilor familiilor Ghica, Brâncoveanu, Cantacuzino, Bibescu. Din copilărie Paul Tomiţă a dorit să practice acest sport, iar la 15 ani a plecat la Bucureşti pentru a-şi împlini visul. În toamna anului 1937, Asociaţia Profesioniştilor de Golf de la Londra, prin Lordul Halifax, îi acorda tânărului Paul Tomiţă titlul de profesor. A fost o mare realizare, care avea să îl recomande pe viitor ca un bun profesor de golf. Astăzi clubul este condus de un Consiliu de Conducere prezidat de Ioan Străjan. În 2009 la Pianu de Jos sunt în program 20 de competiţii.
