Scopul workshopului este prezentarea conceptelor ce stau la baza producţiei asseturilor pentru un joc video şi a unor tehnici practice folosite în industrie. Nivelul tehnic necesar înţelegerii acestor concepte este minim, întrucât prezentarea lor este bazat în principal pe exemple reale din jocuri recent apărute pe piaţă. Practic, cursanţii vor avea parte de o introducere în universul graficii pentru jocuri prin studierea lor in timp real, iar la sfârşitul workshopului vor pleca cu o bază de cunoştinte necesară atelierelor următoare, mai avansate. Acest nivel zero al cunoştinţelor schimbă percepţia despre jocuri a unui simplu ‘gamer’ şi îl poate transforma într-un potenţial ‘level artist’ care înţelege ce se ascunde în spatele decorului şi a mecanicilor din joc.
