Un pui american: mic şi pricăjit, dar pompat cu steroizi (efecte speciale)
Lumea trebuie salvată din nou de către un „adevărat“ erou american. Antagonistul este, de această dată (aproape ca de fiecare dată) un personaj cu un accent englez exotic, scoţian. Fiecare moment este folosit pentru a ni se înfăţişa o megastructură, de obicei sub pământ, sau pentru a distruge un monument istoric celebru, aşa cum este Turnul Eiffel. Printre aceste momente de exuberanţă vizuală se găseşte şi un tânăr soldat american cu inima pură şi confratele lui negru, care este, inevitabil, amuzant.
Clişeele sunt prezente în toată splendoarea lor şi, având în vedere că filmul nu este făcut de Tarantino sau Guy Ritchie, ele rămĂn doar clişee. Dar să nu fim nedrepţi. Există şi alte filme de acţiune sufocate de efecte speciale, care reuşesc să fie competente. Cum ar fi cazul ultimului Terminator, cel în care joacă Christian Bale. Aici nu e cazul.

Recomandare: Actorul coreean Byung-hun Lee, cel care apare ca Storm Shadow în G. I. Joe a jucat în filme mult mai interesante ca A Bittersweet Life şi The Good, the Bad, the Weird (un western inspirat de producţiile lui Sergio Leone).
