Nevoia de inteligenţă pare să fie obsesia nevropată a zilei. Si a mileniului. Doar cel deştept, abil (în sensul bun al cuvântului), pare să fie iubit de şefi, dar şi de colegi, de prieteni, de furnizorii de toate cele trebuincioase vieţii.
Autor a peste 25 de cărţi dedicate dezvoltării personale, Charles Phillips a contribuit la celebrul „The Reader’s Digest Compendium of Puzzles & Brain Teasers” (2001), iar seria „Cum să fii mai inteligent” (titlu original „How to think”) a fost publicată în 20 de ţări şi apreciată de milioane de cititori din Australia şi Noua Zeelandă până în Brazilia, din China până în Germania, din India până în Rusia, din Marea Britanie până în Japonia.
Numai „deşteptul” pare să adune toată fericirea unei vieţi rotunde, în care munca nu e stres, goana după bani nu e încrâncenare, distracţia nu se consumă doar în timpul liber, iar viitorul pare un puzzle, pe care, el, isteţul, îl dezleagă cu bucuria unui copil care se joacă. Spre disperarea şi invidia celor mulţi, care n-au aflat că inteligenţa nu e un dat genetic, ci poate fi o abilitate care se învaţă. Abilitate cerută şi de tăvălugul tehnologiei care ne vrea într-un permanent update, dar fără a deveni propriii noştri roboţi.
Şi uite aşa au apărut strategii ample, construite de psihologi şi de specialişti în tehnici cognitive, cele mai multe fiind concepute sub forma unor puzzle-uri, a căror rezolvare este de fapt un antrenament prin care capeti abilitatea de a gândi mai altfel, creativ, tactic, vizual, rapid, logic… pe scurt, mai „inteligent”. Un astfel de antrenament este oferit de Charles Phillips, în cartea sa 50 de teste pentru a gândi rapid, o colecţie de jocuri-teste pentru dezvoltarea unei gândiri rapide şi care face parte din seria de şase volume Cum să fii mai inteligent, oferite împreună cu revista Rebus.
Testele sunt, de fapt, o suită de strategii practice prin care sunt stimulate funcţiile din emisfera dreaptă a creierului – unde „locuiesc” creativitatea şi intuiţia, în paralel cu antrenarea proceselor de gândire raţională, specifice emisferei stângi. Aşa înveţi cum se pot evita ideile preconcepute şi stereotipurile subiective, cum se poate gândi out of the box, astfel încât să rămâi calm sub presiune, să ieşi din situaţii neplăcute, să gândeşti liber, să faci brainstor- ming, să clarifici situaţiile confuze, să iei decizii raţionale, să transformi ideile în imagini, să comunici mai bine, să fii mereu cu un pas înainte, să judeci bine înainte de a vorbi, să ieşi din tipare, să găseşti soluţii neaşteptate.

Thanks for this wonderful article. One other thing is that almost all digital cameras arrive equipped with any zoom lens that allows more or less of the scene to become included by means of ‘zooming’ in and out. These types of changes in concentration length are usually reflected while in the viewfinder and on huge display screen right at the back of the actual camera.
