Proiect de libertate pentru urşi

În ultimii ani, românii au găsit încă o modalitate originală de-a se face de râs în faţa Europei: cu urşii! Îi filmăm la nuntă în Poiana Braşov, mâncăm cu ei la o cârciumă din Sebeş, îi punem de pază la Fabrica de uraniu din Feldioara, îi învăţăm să se închine, în post şi rugăciune, la Mânăstirea Cotmeana. În locaţiile amintite, şi în multe altele, urşii au fost transformaţi în „obiecte de decor”. Înfometaţi, ţintuiţi în cuşti ruginite. Ca să aibă turiştii la ce se holba! Până când grozăvia a ajuns la urechile World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA). De unde s-au pus la bătaie două milioane de euro. Pentru rezervaţia de la Zărneşti. În care urşii cu pricina şi-au recăpătat libertatea.

Animalele sălbatice au fost smulse din ghearele oamenilor cu ajutorul Gărzii Naţionale de Mediu

Cristi a fost primul locatar al Rezervaţiei Libearty, din Zărneşti. Este şi decanul de vârstă al comunităţii, are 28 de ani. Şi vreo 400 de kilograme. Când a fost adus aici, în august 2005, părea doar amintirea tristă a unui animal sălbatic. După câteva luni de carantină, cu analizele şi tratamentele medicale de rigoare, namila şi-a revenit. Atât de bine, încât şi-a sărbătorit prima porţie de libertate. Cu o bucurie aproape umană. Lăsat de capul lui, în rezervaţie, s-a tăvălit în noroi, s-a ridicat în două labe, s-a uitat la cer… Apoi a îmbrăţişat un copac.

Între timp, în rezervaţie s-au adunat 30 de urşi. Care de care mai frumoşi, dar cu poveşti cel puţin ciudate. Doamna Cristina Lapis, preşedinta Asociaţiei Milioane de prieteni, care gestionează proiectul WSPA, susţine că a fost o adevărată aventură să smulgă urşii din ghearele oamenilor: „Îmi spuneau că sunt proprietari, că e ursul lor! Or, în România ursul este socotit patrimoniu naţional, nu există proprietari, doar că l-au furat, l-au ademenit din pădure şi apoi l-au ţinut închis. Mi-au cerut, evident, şi o grămadă de bani, zeci de mii de euro. Nu am plătit nimic, am refuzat ideea de piaţă, în care cumpărăm şi vindem urşi. Sunt animale sălbatice şi deţinerea lor este interzisă prin lege. Cu ajutorul Gărzii Naţionale de Mediu, respectiv sancţiunile de rigoare, parcă începem să învăţăm şi noi asta!“

Rezervaţia se întinde pe 60 de hectare, teren dat spre folosinţă de Primăria Zărneşti. Urşii au la dispoziţie păduri şi dealuri, piscine naturale, pe cursul unui pârâu, şi bârloguri „de cinci stele“, din lemn, piatră şi pământ, pentru hibernare. Nu lipsesc, evident, bunătăţile de tot felul: fructe, legume, cozonaci, miere, pui, peşte. Hrana e pusă în locuri diferite, astfel încât animalele să caute, să-şi antreneze instinctele naturale. Cel mai important lucru din „dotarea“ rezervaţiei, însă, este dragostea pentru animale. De la director până la îngrijitor, toată lumea moare de dragul urşilor. Îi tratează ca pe nişte copii, îi răsfaţă, le cunosc preferinţele, tabieturile, prieteniile, iubirile mai mult sau mai puţin secrete. Cine cu cine se place, cine cu cine se pupă. Maria, de pildă, e topită după Maci. Ea, puştoaică, are doar trei ani, el, enorm şi „cam trecut“. Sunt ca şoarecele şi elefantul, dar asta nu-i împiedică să se hârjonească toată ziua împreună. Sau, mă rog, până când apare Viorel. Masculul dominant, considerat, până de curând, cel mai fioros urs în captivitate din România. La Haţeg, unde a stat închis, a smuls mâna unei femei, printre gratii. Aici, însă, în libertate, pare paşnic şi pus pe şotii. Dar fără să se apropie foarte mult de gardul electric care împrejmuieşte rezervaţia. L-a testat, cum să nu, dar nu i-a prea plăcut. Nici musafirii nu sunt tocmai pe gustul lui. Apropo de vizitatori, sunt primiţi doar în grupuri organizate. Ideea este că acest teritoriu aparţine urşilor, iar oamenii pot intra doar pe căi foarte civilizate. Proiectul va continua prin construirea unor pasarele speciale, astfel încât turiştii, însoţiţi de ghid, să vadă rezervaţia fără să deranjeze locatarii. Între timp, continuă „naţionalizarea“ urşilor. Alte bătălii, alte ameninţări din partea „proprietarilor“, alte negocieri. Mai de bunăvoie, mai cu Garda de Mediu, în Rezervaţia de la Zărneşti vor fi aduşi încă 30 de urşi. Ţinuţi, deocamdată, în captivitate.
