Scorpions, adio,dar rămân cu tine

După 46 de ani de activitate şi peste 100 de milioane de albume vândute în întreaga lume, trupa „Scorpions” a decis să se retragă de pe scenă printr-un turneu de rămas-bun început în 2010, la Praga, şi care se va încheia în 2012, când se vor împlini 47 de ani de la înfiinţarea grupului.

Mereu m-am întrebat, fireşte, cu decenţa unui profan în ale rock-ului, cum pot fi Scorpions consideraţi trupă hard rock/heavy metal, când primele cântece ale lor pe care eşti tentat să le fredonezi sunt balade: Still Loving You (cântecul care în 1985 a devenit imnul rock al lumii), Send Me An Angel şi Wind of Change (compusă chiar înainte de căderea zidului Berlinului). |ntâlnirea recentă cu ei, la Bucureşti, m-a luminat. Şi nu doar în sensul lămuririi. Înainte de a-i asculta cântând live, prima oară pentru mine, şi ultima dată pentru România, am avut privilegiul de a-i asculta vorbind. La conferinţa de presă, înaintea concertului din cadrul turneului de retragere, intitulat Get Your Sting And Blackout World Tour. Cu un fotograf pe bom- beurile mele, cu o cameră de filmat pe post de pălărie, dar aşezată în primul rând, la nici doi metri de ei! Faţă în faţă cu Rudi (Rudolf Schenker), alături de solistul Klaus Meine, basistul Pawel Maciwoda şi electrizantul James Kottack, toboşarul trupei. Sigur că toţi ziariştii prezenţi erau avizi după declaraţii fulminante, vânau informaţii neauzite până atunci, încercau să le smulgă cuvinte memorabile. Şi era normal să ne impresioneze cu povestea lor, o legendă încă vie care a dăruit emoţie multor generaţii.

Dar, dincolo de cuvinte, oamenii ăştia transmiteau, în timp ce îti luau adio, o energie aproape ireală şi un sentiment copleşitor al vieţii, erupând parcă dintr-un vulcan. Nici urmă de tristeţe, nimic din melancolia unei despărţiri lacrimogene, turneul menit de fapt să rămână în istoria muzicii ca o fabuloasă celebrare a rock-ului.

Îi priveam şi nu înţelegeam cum au păcălit biologicul; unde se putea ascunde uzura celor 45 de ani de înregistrări în studio, concerte şi turnee? Deja simţeam mirosul de ars, al „incendiului” pe care îl pregăteau pentru seară, la concertul din Zone Arena. Chiar aşa a şi fost. Abia trăită pe viu întâlnirea cu Scor- pions, îţi dai seama că ei trăiesc şi cântă, alimentaţi la miile de volţi ale pasiunii lor pentru muzică şi conectaţi la un public reverberant şi în egală măsură energizat de magia sonorităţilor hard rock, de forţa heavy metal-ului, de emoţia baladelor. În rest, un show memorabil de sunet, lumină, imagine, proiecţii, acrobaţii şi multă, multă mişcare!

Abia acolo, luată de valul freneziei generale, am priceput de ce acest turneu de adio înseamnă „esenţa Scorpions”. Love At First Sting (Dragoste la prima înţepătură – de scorpion, fireşte), primul lor album de mare succes, scos prin anii ’80, a fost promovat printr-un lung turneu, cel mai receptiv şi entuziast public fiind cel american. Era perioada rock-ului clasic, iar Scorpions şi-au făcut loc rapid în istoria lui. Anii care au urmat i-au dus într-o legendă pe care au închis-o acum rotund, cu ultimul lor album, semnificativ intitulat Sting In The Tail (Înţepătura din coadă – a aceluiaşi scorpion), lansat odată cu turneul de rămas-bun. Ei înşişi au fost surprinşi, după cum au declarat presei, de faptul că publicul a primit cu un entuziasm incredibil acest album, si a demonstrat, la concerte, că îl cunoştea deja la fel de bine ca pe vechiul lor repertoriu. Internetul este parte din explicaţie. „Vestea cea bună”, pentru Scorpions, vine însă dintr-un fenomen, previzibil de altfel, de întoarcere a valului de rock clasic, în muzica ultimilor ani. Chiar şi rock-ul alternativ îşi schimbă gamele. Nickelback, 3 DoorsDown, Green Day, până şi trupele punk, încep să cânte rock clasic. Rudi spunea într-un interviu: „In acest album noi am adunat esenţa. Dacă iei cele mai bune cântece ale noastre din anii ’80 şi le pui într-un album, ai Sting In The Tail.”

Surpriza serii a venit de la miile de copii – nu pot să Le spun altfel, abia dacă treceau de 16, 17 ani – care au cântat în cor, împreună cu trupa, absolut toate melodiile, fie eLe vechi sau foarte noi, de pe uLtimuL Lor aLbum. Unii plângeau de bucurie, cu braţeLe întinse către scenă. Au cântat şi au dansat dezLănţuiţi, pe aceLeaşi meLodii, şi probabiL cu aceeaşi frenezie a părinţiLor, sau chiar a buniciLor Lor (pe unii i-am zărit printre spectatori), cu zeci de ani în urmă. Parafrazând, „Scorpions” au pLecat puţin şi au Lăsat muLt. Dar au ţinut să ne asigure că încă mai au de dăruit. Pentru că, aşa cum ne-au promis prin titLuL uLtimuLui cântec de pe uLtimuL aLbum, „The best is yet to come”!
