Probabil începutul unei serii de blockbustere de la Hollywood

După două eşecuri notabile, Naufragiaţii (în care juca soţia lui de atunci, Madonna) şi Revolver, Guy Ritchie s-a răzbunat mai apoi cu două filme O.K., RocknRolla şi filmul pe care îl vom prezenta astăzi, Sherlock Holmes. Cu ocazia acestuia din urmă, Ritchie reuşeşte să intre, cu succes, în liga filmelor comerciale. Ne face cadou un film de acţiune plin de umor şi ironie. El nu uită vechile trucuri din Jocuri, poturi şi focuri de armă şi Snatch. Tipul de naraţiune, răsturnările de situaţie, chiar dacă nu atât de imprevizibile, sunt şi aici. Filmul este făcut pentru a fi pe placul publicului. Iar umorul îl ajută să atingă acest obiectiv. Pe de altă parte, şi cei doi actori care-i întruchipează pe Holmes şi Watson, Robert Downey Jr. şi Jude Law, sunt excelenţi. Bizareria şi ironia pe care o aduce Downey Jr. personajului îi conferă acestuia un farmec aparte. Să nu uităm că el este actorul care reuşeşte să facă pelicule vizionabile din filme altfel mediocre, ca Iron man. Probabil cea mai mare nemulţumire faţă de noul Sherlock Holmes vine de la fanii lui Arthur Conan Doyle. Filmul nu le va satisface, cel mai probabil, dorinţele acestora. Partea de mister şi de investigaţie, căutare, deducţie este mult prea mică şi apare doar ca o tuşă plină de şarm, dar care se topeşte în restul compoziţiei. Pe scurt, este un film de acţiune simpluţ. Asta este şi ceea ce şi-a dorit britanicul. Dacă aveţi chef de ceva mai greu, puteţi trece peste acest film.
