Benzile desenate au inspirat o serie de filme: Superman, Spider-Man, Spawn, Asterix si Obelix, 300, Sin City, Persepolis, The Walking Dead si asa mai departe. Chiar stilul vizual a devenit din ce în ce mai influenţat de artifici­ile folosite în acest mediu. Subiectele au început să fie din ce în ce mai diversificate: de la tema supereroului la tema maturizării.

În cazul lui Scott Pilgrim avem de-a face cu un tânăr care refuză să înfrunte realitatea, iar toate obstacolele prin care trece pentru a-si impresiona noua prietenă sunt hiper-exagera- te. Un tocilar îmbibat de cultura jocurilor vechi, al seriei Seinfeld, al animaţiei japoneze. Ăsta-i Scott. Angoasele si frustrările lui sunt învelite în realitatea mai simpatică a comicsurilor. Premisa pare stupidă, asa ar trebui să fie, fiind vorba până la urmă despre un tânăr infantil, cu năzuinţe copilăresti, dar asta face ca pelicula să fie plină de sarm si umor. Sunt poante care te pot face să râzi până la apariţia crampelor, cel puţin în prima parte a aventu­rii.

Iniţial, poţi avea impresia că este doar altă comedie cu Michael Cera, ei bine, chiar nu este cazul. Nu este un alt Juno sau Superbad. Ci cu totul altceva. Si te va surprinde plăcut. Are, într-un fel, energia lui Crank si inspiraţia lor este similară, fac apel la aceeasi (sub)cultură geek.

Pentru o extravaganţă vizuală, dar nu numai, vă recomand să mergeţi la acest film. Veţi râde cu lacrimi. Iar sub toată construcţia de cultură Nintendo si de jocuri 8-bit, veţi găsi un date movie bunicel, depinde doar dacă veţi putea gusta acest tip de experiment. În orice caz, filmul este mult peste Kick Ass.

Recomandare: „Defendor” este o comedie neagră, în care un tip obişnuit încearcă să devină un justiţiar. Spre deosebire de „Scott Pilgrim”, care este amuzant, „Defendor” e mai apropiat de realitate, dacă ceva inspirat de supereroi poate fi realist. Woody Harrelson într-un alt rol interesant.
