Cu o grosime de numai 9 mm, Garmin Nuvi 3700 este cel mai subţire sistem de na vigaţie portabil de pe piaţă, ce dispune de un design irezistibil la atingere. Noul design a generat un impact important, câştigând competiţia de design de produs din cadrul festivalului Red Dot Design, competiţia aliniind peste 4.000 de înregistrări din 57 de ţări. Noul display multi-touch al seriei nuvi 3700 le permite utilizatorilor să facă zoom (atingând de două ori harta), să cuprindă împrejurările pe hartă (trăgând cu un deget), sau să schimbe perspectiva de la formatul 2D la 3D şi să rotească harta la 360 de grade (tragere cu două degete). Iar pentru a evita atingerile nedorite, modelele nuvi 3700 dispun de un sistem de blocare a ecranului, astfel încât să poţi să porneşti sistemul, să-l introduci în buzunar şi să porneşti la drum.
