Pentru Jacqueline Pavel, excelenţa nu este un pariu. Este abecedarul pe care a învăţat să-şi citească şi să-şi scrie viaţa, de la cei doi dascăli: Carmen şi Aurel Pavel, părinţii ei şi ai „J’Info Tours”. Care, la 22 de ani, i-au făcut cadou firma „J’Info Training”, ca să predea, la rândul ei, lecţia de excelenţă pentru business-ul de turism.

„E un privilegiu ca, până La 22 de ani, să fi văzut deja şaptezeci şi ceva de ţări.”

„Iau deciziile foarte rapid! Fac o analiză, desigur, dar merg foarte mult pe feeling, pe instinctul de moment. Si de obicei, îmi iese. Ba chiar mă cert singură că nu mă bazez mai mult pe instinct. De multe ori, când am mers doar pe raţiune, am greşit.”

I Cum s-a născut J’Info Training?

A fost ideea mamei mele, care simţea nevoia unei pregătiri specializate pentru cei care lucrau în turism. Iar acum, firma s-a dezvoltat şi pe alte segmente, de management, de coaching, de leadership. Toate cursurile sunt atestate, iar diplomele recunoscute de CNFPA (Consiliul Naţional de Formare Profesională a Adulţilor). Trainerii sunt în general formatori, angajaţi ai noştri, dar colaborăm şi cu alţii, fie când avem solicitări prea multe, fie când ne lipsesc din portofoliu anumite specializări. În paralel, oferim şi consultanţă pe accesare de fonduri europene, pe proiecte UE.

I Ce materii ţi-au plăcut în liceu?

Iniţial am vrut să merg către automatică, informatică, dar într-a unsprezecea m-am întâlnit cu Economia şi a fost dragoste la prima vedere. Am descoperit nişte chestii minunate şi am zis: „gata cu statul la calculator” – aveam câte 10 ore de Informatică pe săptămână. Am trecut, firesc, către Economie, Management…

I A contat faptul că părinţii tăi făceau business?

Nu foarte tare, nici măcar n-au încercat să-mi dea un sfat legat de profesia pe care s-o aleg. Mi-au lăsat libertate totală de decizie, să merg pe drumul dorit de mine. Aşa că am ales ASE-ul. Care m-a dezamăgit, însă, ca nivel de şcoală.

I O şcoală în străinătate?

N-am vrut să plec în afară. Pentru că sunt ataşată de părinţi, de câini – am nouă câini, plus pisici, iepure, lamă, capre, ponei. Îi am împrăştiaţi, aşa că fac naveta între Snagov, Bran şi Bucureşti, pentru că e sarcina mea să le duc de mâncare, să am grijă de ei. ai mei n-au timp, iar eu chiar sunt îndrăgostită de toate aceste animale. Cum să plec şi să le las? În liceu câştigasem un concurs Oracle şi ne-au premiat la Los Angeles. Ajunşi acolo, ne-au oferit burse la UCLA, dar nu m-a atras deloc ideea să rămân. Îmi place foarte mult să călătoresc în lume, dar atât. Acasă e doar aici.

I Ai tăi erau foarte ocupaţi. Te-au crescut bunicii?

Nu chiar. Ai mei mă luau peste tot unde plecau, la târguri. Adormeam eu pe-acolo, pe mese, dar măcar eram cu ei. Şi îmi plăcea, mi se părea distractiv să călătoresc aşa, mult.

I Cum e să fii „la Dauphine”? S-a simţit că eşti diferită, printre colegi, prieteni?

Nu am vrut niciodată să par diferită, mă comportam ca şi când n-ar fi existat nimic în spatele meu, ba chiar evitam să povestesc pe unde am călătorit în lume. Era mai complicat când apăream bronzată iarna, încercam să o scald, de frică să nu creez nişte sentimente aşa… nevinovate, de altfel, de invidie.

I Numele, Jacqueline, te-a obligat cumva să te apropii de limba franceză?

Da, şi chiar am încercat, de câteva ori, dar nu prea s-a prins. Spaniola m-a atras foarte tare şi am făcut cursuri la Cervantes. Despre engleză nu mai zic, e ca şi a doua limbă maternă, acum o vorbeşte toată lumea. Dar, revenind la franceză, nu am renunţat de tot la idee.

I Unde te vezi peste 10 ani?

Mă gândesc la asta uneori, dar sunt atât de ocupată cu ce am de făcut mâine si poimâine şi peste o săptămână, că nu mai am timp de planuri pe termen lung. În mare, însă, mă văd tot în România, dezvoltând business-ul de training şi organizând evenimente speciale, cu speakeri celebri, din toată lumea. Şi mi-ar mai plăcea să-mi deschid şi o casă de modă, pentru că sunt o fashion victim de când mă ştiu.

I Dacă erai în locul părinţilor tăi, ce ai fi făcut altfel în afacerea de turism?

Nu cred că aş fi făcut altfel. Ei au avut viziune, au fost inovativi, au exploatat perfect cerinţele pieţei de turism din acel moment. Au adus primii charterele în România, au găsit destinaţiile optime pentru piaţa românească.

I Dacă ai avea misiunea să promovezi România prin turism, ce strategie ai aplica?

În primul rând, mai e mult de lucrat la infrastructură, la drumuri, la standardele hoteliere. România e greu „de vândut”, pentru că turiştii, mai ales europenii, vor standarde adevărate. Dacă totuşi îi aduci, rişti nici să nu mai vină şi să-ţi mai dea şi nişte review-uri, de nu vrei s-auzi! Totuşi, România e o ţară foarte frumoasă, merită cunoscută. Mama a făcut Asociaţia de Dezvoltare a Obiectivelor Turistice şi încearcă să promoveze locurile şi lucrurile extraordinare, inclusiv obiectivele balneare, pe care le avem. Dar, repet, până nu avem drumuri.

I Ce muzică asculţi?

Rock. Mult rock! AC/DC, Guns’n Roses, Iris, Cargo, Phoenix, Deep Purple, Rolling Stones, clasici.

I Cum ai ajuns în Liga Europeană de bridge?

Ai mei m-au bătut la cap de când eram mică să învăţ bridge. Că e un hobby extraordinar, că te ajută să gândeşti strategic, că ţi se dezvoltă memoria. dar mie mi se părea foarte complicat, nu înţelegeam nimic. Abia în urmă cu doi ani, au insistat şi părinţii lui Horia (prietenul meu), care au fost colegi de liceu cu ai mei, şi uite aşa am ajuns să nu mai putem fără, ne-a intrat în sânge zdravăn. Abia aşteptăm serile, să ne aşezăm la o partidă.
