Bucureştenii – şi nu numai – vor avea privilegiul să asculte pe viu marile orchestre, marii solişti şi marii dirijori ai lumii, la „Festivalul Enescu”.
Bucurestiul – va deveni, în luna septembrie, capitala mondială a muzicii clasice, graţie Festivalului şi Concursului Internaţional George Enescu. Afişul celei de-a XX-a ediţii aduce, în deja tradiţionala serie Mari orchestre ale lumii, deopotrivă, mari dirijori şi mari solişti. Numite „ansambluri-ceas”, pentru fineţea şi exactitatea interpretării Wiener Philhar moni ker, London Sym phony Orchestra, Academia Sant a Cecilia di Roma, Staatskapelle Berlin, The Mariinsky Theatre Symphony Orchestra, Orchest re National de France sunt aşteptate de mii de melomani. Iar prezenţa dirijorilor Daniel Barenboim, Zubin Mehta, Valery Gergiev, Antonio Pappano, Horia Andreescu, Guenady Rojdestvensky, Franz Welser Most reprezintă promisiunea unor adevărate regaluri pe scena Sălii Palatului. Numele şi creaţia lui Enescu vor fi celebrate cu Simfonia I, sub bagheta lui Christian Badea, Simfonia a III-a cu Valery Gergiev şi încheind cu Simfonia concertantă pentru violoncel şi orchestră, în interpretarea lui Han-Na Chang, alături de dirijorul Daniele Gatti.
