Sharm el-Sheikh, paradisul scufundătorilor

Pentru câteva momente privirea îţi este cucerită de priveliştea deşertului fără sfârşit, de plajele cu nisip alb în contrast cu apele albastre, de cristal… Cosmopolitul Sharm este locul potrivit pentru distracţie şi incursiuni acvatice când în România sunt 200 C!

Se spune că Sharm el-Sheikh este Mecca scufundătorilor, pe drept cuvânt! Acolo unde apele se mândresc cu plante exotice şi vapoare eşuate, expuse pe fundalul mării, locul este împânzit de iubitorii sporturilor nautice.

Iar dacă scufundările nu sunt chiar punctul tău forte, la suprafaţa apei ai câteva alternative chiar tentante. Windsurfing-ul este pentru cei cu spirit de aventură, hidrobicicleta pentru iubitorii de distracţie, iar vaporul cu podea transparentă a devenit chiar un must dacă vrei să experimentezi Sharm-ul de la suprafaţa apei.

Vacanţele în „Oraşul Păcii“ îţi dau gustul culturii egiptene, deşi Piramidele şi oraşul Cairo sunt la câteva sute de mile depărtare. Din Sharm poţi lua o caleaşcă, trasă de cămilă, care te va conduce într-un sat beduin şi chiar la muntele Sinai, unde Moise a primit cele 10 porunci. De pe vârful muntelui vei avea o privelişte încântătoare asupra răsăritului. Iar noaptea, Sharm-ul freamătă de viaţă: cazinourile, cluburile, parfumul mirodeniilor şi vestita sisha sunt vedetele locului.

Snorkelling – incursiunea marină

Nu oriunde ai posibilitatea să înoţi alături de delfini, peştele înger sau peştele fluture, iar dacă vrei mai mult poţi opta pentru cursuri de snorkelling sau scuba-diving. Acestea se fac în special în Parcul Naţional Marin Ras Mohammed sau lângă epava Thistlegorm.

Pentru o aventură pe cinste, gustă din specificul fiecărui recif de coral şi admiră expoziţiile navale!

• Pinky Wall – un zid pentru scufundări, denumit după coralul Alcyonarian de culoare roz. Cel mai potrivit moment pentru snorkelling în locul împânzit de corali moi este noaptea când asişti la un adevărat spectacol al vieţii marine.

• Paradise – Chiar în faţa hotelului Royal Paradise pătrunzi în raiul scufundărilor printre blocuri şi turnuri de coral. Aceste sculpturi de corali sunt locuite de peşti-napoleon, papagal sau fluture. În apa albastră, te împrieteneşti cât ai zice peşte cu tonul şi codul, dar şi cu ţestoasele şi pisicile de mare. Vizibilitatea este foarte bună, iar pozele sunt chiar reuşite.

• Vasul Yolanda nu era plin cu aur şi argint atunci când s-a scufundat, ci avea o colecţie impresionantă de căzi care, în timp, au devenit parte a vieţii marine şi una dintre cele mai moderne expoziţii de artă.

• Carnatic este vasul care s-a scufundat în 1869 după ce a pătruns într-un recif de corali. Şi nu s-a scufundat oricum, ci împreună cu mii de sticle de vin şi cu o comoară de aur, care încă nu a fost descoperită, ceea ce face scufundarea şi mai captivantă.

Na’ama Bay – centrul distracţiei

Ziua leneveşti pe plaja Tarrezzina în timp ce savurezi un cocktail exotic în ritm… house! Seara, vestita staţiune egipteană se transformă într-o adevărată mare de lumini şi oameni în căutare de magazine, cazinouri sau cafenele unde pot bea un ceai sau o cafea tradiţională. Atmosfera locului te va face să cedezi asalturilor animatorilor şi să te tolăneşti între pernele unei cafenele. Şi, ca să fii de-al casei, nu-l refuza pe Alladin cel simpatic şi încearcă shisha, vestita narghilea, cu aromă de cireşe sau de măr. Dacă încă nu e trecut de miezul nopţii şi ai chef de o plimbare, poţi merge la ţărmul mării, pe o alee special amenajată, mărginită de leandri, de unde admiri valurile mării. După care te poţi retrage în Havana Club pentru mişcări salsa, pe care le poţi exersa şi în drum spre El Fanar – clubul în aer liber, aflat pe ţărmul mării, unde dansezi sub cerul înstelat, chiar lângă Marea Roşie, iluminată de luminile clubului. Merită să rămâi până la final pentru a savura spectacolul de comedie muzicală.

Delicatese cu Sharm

Farmecul Sharm El Sheikh-ului sunt cafenelele şi restaurantele de pe faleză, decorate în cel mai genuin stil oriental şi unde se pot servi diferite feluri de mâncare atât tradiţională cât şi din bucătăria internaţională. Merită să încerci tahina (un sos alb picant care se mănâncă cu orice preparat din carne sau salate), ful (un fel de fasole cu boabe maron, preparată în mai multe feluri şi cu diferite condimente), falafel sau ta’ameya (chifteluţe delicioase dintr-un amestec special cu soia) care se servesc cel mai adesea cu torshy (un melanj de legume picante). Şi la final comandă deserturile cu nucă şi alune, însiropate cu miere.

Idei de vacanţă

• O scufundare în apele Mării Roşii este atent supravegheată şi totul se desfăşoară în deplină securitate. Dacă apelezi la un centru care organizează cursuri de snorkelling contribui cu bani pentru dezvoltarea Centrului de medicină hiperbarică (folosirea oxigenului la un nivel mai mare decât presiunea atmosferică) din Sharm el-Sheikh.

• Vizitează Ras Mohammed! Poţi lua vaporaşul sau poţi face o excursie subamarină spre acest Parc Naţional unde Marea Roşie îşi va etala frumuseţea.

• Din programul tău nu trebuie să lipsească vizita la Mănăstirea Sf. Ecaterina; vei pătrunde fără încălţări în paraclisul lăcaşului de cult unde monahii spun că Moise a vorbit cu Dumnezeu.

• Nu poţi să refuzi obişnuitul pahar de karkade, o băutură tradiţională, parfumată, din flori de hibiscus, cu care eşti tratat în fiecare magazin, în semn al ospitalităţii.

• Pentru amintiri din Sharm, mergi la cumpărături în Fantasia, centrul comercial aflat în apropiere de Na’ama Bay. Vei avea impresia că pătrunzi într-un uriaş castel de sultan, cu o arhitectură ce-ţi încântă privirea. Înăuntru vei găsi o mulţime de magazine, restaurante şi baruri, toate într-o atmosferă cât se poate de plăcută.
