Un spectacol-studiu „Macbeth”

Aşteptat cu mare interes de iubitorii teatrului din România, „Macbeth”-ul montat de Radu Penciulescu, la TNB, a stârnit vii controverse.

„Macbeth”, de William Shakespeare Regia: Radu Penciulescu Cu: Ion Caramitru, Valeria Seciu, Mircea Rusu… Teatru: Teatrul Naţional Bucureşti

Critica are o revelaţie în faţa spectacolului minimalist propus de regizor, atunci când nu îl pune la zid, jurnalistul Cristian Tudor Popescu părăseşte nedumerit sala la pauză şi scrie a doua zi un editorial acid, iar Petre Roman vine la spectacol ca la teatru, aţipind şi trezindu-se la bubuiturile tobelor. Cu toate că drumul de la concepţia unui spectacol la realizarea lui efec­tivă este alterat de tot felul de constrângeri, Radu Penciulescu a anunţat de la bun început în care cheie trebuie văzută creaţia sa. Regizorul intitulează producţia de la TNB drept un spectacol-studiu (potrivit DEX – începerea repetiţiilor la o piesă). Iar spectacolul lui Penciulescu este o încercare de a regândi textul shakespearian în contemporaneitatea sa, chiar dacă asta poate să-i răpească din vrajă (bagatelizând şi jocul vrăjitoarelor). Pentru că Macbeth a dezamăgit deja pe multă lume. Piesa, însă, conform superstiţiilor, îşi urmează cursul şi aduce ghinion celor care o joacă – Matei Alexandru a ajuns la spital într-o zi, Mircea Anca luându-i locul şi interpretându-l pe regele Scoţiei cu textul în mână. Firesc, lucrurile se leagă în concepţia regizorului des­pre spectacolul-repetiţie. Cum mai poate fi decriptată totuşi astăzi tragedia lui Shakespeare? Penciulescu pare să urmărească valenţa politică a textului, conform căreia Macbeth este un individ însetat de putere, iar acţiunile sale au o anumită legitimitate – în nor- malitatea de atunci, el ar fi trebuit să fie succe­sorul tronului. Acţiunea de a-l ucide pe regele Duncan este, într-un fel, justificată. Din acest motiv poate părea „moale” interpretarea lui Ion Caramitru, necaracteristic pentru forţa pe care o emană pe scenă directorul TNB. Actorului îi lipseşte imboldul, dar asta este situaţia, nu e un criminal autentic, el doar înţelege, rămâne în domeniul abstract al ideilor, planul diabolic este pasat soţiei sale, Lady Macbeth. Dar ce se întâmplă când nici soţia lui Macbeth nu produce un declic declanşator puternic? Rămâne să vă convingeţi singuri.
